Jeet Poonater-Profile

Jeet Poonater, is a true allrounder for USC, highest wicket taker for USC in the 2008 season and had quite a few notable contributions with the bat. His stature and shy nature is an absolute misnomer as in his inner core he is a fiercely competitive player with an undying attitude towards the game.

Jeet has taken over the role of holding the middle order for the Trojans and is an extremely talented solid technical middle order batsman who has a great variety of shots. His performances in the 1st game against Britamer where he top scored with 48 and had bowling figures of 7-2-20-0 best reflect his allround potential. A strong runner between the wickets and an agile fielder, he is an asset in every discipline of the game. His swing bowling has left many teams in tatters in the SCCA, and he is for sure a single man army on his day.

In the 2009 season, Jeet finished the 2nd highest wicket taker for USC and the 3rd highest in the division with 31 wickets in 15 matches. He was also the 2nd highest run scorer for USC with 219 runs in the season.

Since the formation of the club, there has been great progress in the development and spreading of cricket within the Trojan family.
